I do not abide by wait lists. It's messy and I am simply too busy to chase after everyone interested in getting rats from me -- I love you all, but I just don't have time. So -- Apply below. Once accepted, you'll be able to inquire about any litters/rats I put up on my pages as being available. Only people who have submit an application and been approved will be able to get rats.
What do I look for in a potential home? Although I can sometimes over-look short, one worded answers on every question, the less effort you put into answering my questions, the less likely I am to accept the application. Why? Because it shows laziness.. My application is not that long, the questions are not that difficult, and if you can't be bothered to adequately fill them out, I tend to question whether you can properly commit to an animal that can live three or more years. The applications also lets me gauge how much research and thought you've put into getting rats -- short answers don't help your case.
"Whatever you recommend," is in the same boat as one worded answers. I don't care if you ask my preferences, or opinions on things, but I want to see that you've done some research of your own about rat care and really thought it through. My goal is to put rats in caring forever homes who will meet their needs -- not "until" homes who are doing this on a whim.
Below is the application. After you turn it in, give me 24-hours to respond (even though I'm usually very quick to get back to you). If you haven't heard from me within 24-hours, feel free to poke me with a follow up email.
